Torque Angle Sensor

Torque Angle Sensor (TAS) is a core component integrated into the vehicle’s Electric Power Steering System which generates (or detects) a signal of movement from the EPS Motor.

The TAS generates (or detects) the steering torque when a vehicle is in motion. TAS consists of Torque Sensor which detects steering torque and Absolute Angle Sensor which detects absolute angles of steering. LG Innotek’s TAS incorporates both Torque Sensor and the Angle Sensor together to detect both steering torque and angles of steering at the simultaneously. TAS has high capacity for sensing in all driving conditions and achieves small seamless package. LG Innotek’s TAS design adopts rotating field and non-touch detection system allowing TAS to perform with high accuracy, efficiency and durability. TAS applications are readily seen on luxury, premium and standard vehicles. TAS also offers drivers benefits of materializing breakdown detection mode, Multi-Turn recognition, True-Power on and high resolution steering performance.
