On November 18, LG Innoteck’s Huizhou unit won the second Global Management Grand Prize in the category of productivity innovation.

The award is provided by Japan Management Association Consulting, and was launched in 2003 to help Korean industries gain a competitive edge on the global market.

The award was presented to LG Innotek’s Huizhou unit. The subsidiary spearheaded “early innovation,” conducted exemplary innovation activities, exercised excellent management leadership, and took advantage of these strong points to establish an optimum production system for its prime product, the optical disk drive, and boost its product competitiveness to a global level.

Through winning the award, the company’s Huizhou unit is striving to further promote its innovation activities, continuously secure talented individuals essential for its new businesses, and introduce efficient management systems to move ahead of its competitors a step further.
