LG Innotek announced regular executive appointments for 2016 decided at the board of directors on 26th of this month. President Park Jongseok is appointed as a new CEO who has successfully released the strategic smart phone G Series in the market, while serving as the director of MC business division in LG Electronics.

To lead the market, a focus was put on accelerating the fostering of the future growth industry when appointing those new executives this year. LG Innotek promoted or appointed new executives who have produced remarkable business achievements from the perspective of market leadership, based on the strict performance-based appraisal system.

■ Promoted three managing directors and appointed new three directors.

LG Innotek promoted the vice president Moon Hyungchul to the position of a senior vice president, who achieved the largest global market share of camera module business 5 years in a row. He has been managing the Optics Solutions Business Division, the core business area of LG Innotek, and leading the market with the optical image stabilizing camera module and dual camera module.

In addition, vice president Shin Yongcheol, who strengthened the company’s market position by developing differentiated technologies (e.g., development of the rare earth free automotive motor first in the world) in the automotive components business, and vice president Kang Minseok, who has been leading preceding technology development in the next-generation growth engine area, were promoted to the position of a senior vice president.

At the same time, three vice president were newly appointed, including senior manager Kim Jinsoo who has contributed to quality stabilization and productivity improvement as the president of the Polish company, senior manager Byeon Inbum who helped market expansion as the president of Chinese sales company, and senior manager Huh Sung who has successfully secured business competitiveness by identifying new future growth business.
