LG Innotek wins Category Award at LIGHTFAIR International 2011 Innovation Awards for ModulA 1D Ultra-Slim linear module with extraordinary uniformity
High-efficiency ultra-slim linear module recognized by industry peers
Pennsylvania, PA (May 17, 2011) - LG Innotek, a vertically integrated LED components supplier, won a major award for ModulA 1D Ultra-slim linear module at the Lightfair International 2011 show held in Philadelphia in May.
Each year, Lightfair International recognizes the most innovative products and solutions in the lighting industry. LG Innotek’s entry, ModulA 1D received Lightfair’s Innovation Award for “Best of Category” in the area of “specialty, hardware, lampholders, and components”.
ModulA 1D is an edge-lighted 0.31 inch thin structure to integrate high-efficiency uniform lighting with a plug ‘n’ socket connectivity to accelerate innovation and enable the standardization of solid state lighting.
The extra- ordinary uniform linear module beam shaping is enabled via proprietary Micro Lens Array technology applied to the Light Guide Plate. With attention to performance, the thin body and digital socket system of ModulA 1D enables convenient installation and interchangeability, allowing manufacturers to create a variety of lighting applications from a single light module design or extending multi-module lengths.

The LFI Innovation Awards honors industry innovations for lighting-related products and designs introduced in the past 12 months. Each product was judged by an independent panel of renowned lighting professionals.
