LG Innotek (CEO by Ung-Beom Lee) announced that it would have a special “Donation Day,” each month, to allow its employees to have the opportunity to participate in practical donation activities.

The company will designate every last Friday of the month as “Donation Day,” which all employees will participate in.

As the first step, the company has prepared a “Donation Day Diet,” which will cost less than existing lunch menus, for independent in-house restaurants at 5 domestic operations including in Gwangju, Gumi, Ansan, Osan, and Paju.

LG Innotek is planning to collect the money saved from when each employee chooses to have the “Donation Day Diet” to give a helping hand to undernourished children in each part of the country where the company’s operations are located.

On July 24th, as a luncheon event of Donation Day, the company introduced the “Donation Day Diet" at 5 operations to promote the special day to its employee. This first event received a great response, attracting more than 4,000 participants.

“I was able to conveniently participate in the event during my lunch break… it was a delightful experience. I hope that these kinds of donation will be more frequent and become a part of our working life,” said Lee Ji-yoon(29), Deputy Manager at Paju Operation.

LG Innotek announced that in the future, it would run different kinds of participatory programs for donating used books, clothing, etc., to create a “sharing culture” settle among its employees.
