LG Innotek signed the official contract of affiliation on the 30th at Munsan Jeil High School, Paju, Gyeonggi-do, with Lee Gi-dong, the chairman of LG Innotek’s Labor Union, the Principal of Munsan Jeil High School, the chairman of Northern Gyeonggi branch of Korea Employment for the Disabled Agency and persons concerned with in attendance.

This move to support Munsan Jeil High School was part of LG Innotek’s Labor Union’s ‘Union Social Responsibility’ (USR) declaration which took effect at the start of this year.

Through this affiliation, LG Innotek’s Labor Union will consult the needs of students with disabilities with the school by supporting activities and providing cultural experiences for students with disabilities, sharing skills and talents, providing scholarships, supporting families, and supplying any other needs the students have by consulting the school.

Prior to this affiliation, LG Innotek had replaced the lights in the special classroom for students with disabilities at Munsan Jeil High School with LED lights to create pleasant and healthy school environment.

The chairman of LG Innotek’s Labor Union, Lee Gi-dong, said: “Through the Union’s active support to meet the social needs of students with disabilities, it will fulfill all its social responsibilities and promises to lead the way in supporting people with disabilities”.

Meanwhile, LG Innotek’s Labor Union has plans to establish affiliation relationships with one school in each branch of the Gwangju, Gumi, Osan, and Cheongju regions by the end of June.
