LG Innotek (CEO by Ung-Beom Lee) establishes a subsidiary company for the employment of the disabled, continuously expanding its recruitments.
On the 25th LG Innotek inaugurated its general subsidiary company, "Innowith" (CEO by Seok-Su Kim), for the disabled at its Gwangju location. LG Innotek CEO Ung-Beom Lee, the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled (Gwangju Factory), and parties connected to the Gwangju Regional Ministry of Labor were all in attendance at this inauguration.
Innowith has plans to take charge of production support and improve environmental standards etc. and to have approximately 50% of their employees with disabilities working at their location in Gwangju. For this to be accomplished, LG Innotek has completed the construction of the various necessary facilities and has improved the working environment for their disabled employees.
Through the Innowith subsidiary company, LG Innotek has plans to expand employment of the disabled in the Paju, Gumi, and Ansan establishments, with having recruited of approximately 50 people in total by the end of this year.
Innowith engenders both consideration and sharing in its brightly-lit, cooperative culture, allowing for the disabled and non-disabled to freely mingles and works in a positive atmosphere. The creation of an open workplace filled with hope has the full blessing of LG Innotek.
Through the founding of LG Innowith, LG Innotek is fulfilling its social responsibility of, "invigorating the employment of the disabled." They are doing so with the intention of offering continuous opportunities for the disabled to become confidently self-reliant.
CEO Ung-Beom Lee offered his congratulations by saying, “The opportunity to found Innowith signals (our) plans to offer high quality employment positions to the disabled now and in the future."
Last March, LG Innotek first initiated an open recruitment of people with disabilities at 7 of its establishments, and around 40 individuals were recruited on site for R&D and clerical positions. This was done with the plan to continuously promote recruitment of people with disabilities until the end of this year.
