LG Innotek (CEO Hur Young-ho) re-opened the Bethel District Children’s Center in Gusan-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul in the name of "LG Innotek Hope Class" on October 27.
LG Innotek designated the Bethel District Children’s Center as the first “LG Innotek Hope Class.” This class requires local children’s centers to quickly improve their environments that are used by children from multicultural families and low income households; LG also has conducted efforts to improve its own environment.
LG Innotek improved the environment in the Study Room at the Center to make it more conducive for children to study by changing the wallpaper, replacing flooring, renovating the kitchen, and installing LED lighting. LG Innotek also plans to conduct programs such as a ’’science class’ and ‘outdoor experience programs’ at the "Hope Class" through the donation of talent by its executives and staff members.
LG Innotek official said, “We opened the ‘Hope Class’ to enable children from multicultural families and low income households to nurture their dreams in a clean environment,” adding, “We will create additional ’’Hope Classes’’ in local regions, including Gumi and Gwangju, as well as at the head office in Seoul.”
Meanwhile, since last year, LG Innotek has continued to implement “Hope Mentoring” and “Green Energy Camp” programs for children from multicultural families.
