LG Innotek (CEO Young-Ho, Hur) is planning to extend its “target management system” for greenhouse gas and energy consumption to overseas operations, in a full scale.
LG Innotek announced that it had “Global Environmental Safety Conference,” in the presence of domestic and overseas environmental safety specialists, at Paju operation, from Oct 19 to 21, 2011.
The second environmental conference, following the last year, was participated in by about 100 professionals in energy, environment, safety, and health (EESH), including CEO Young-Ho, Hur and Nam-Ho, Baek, professor at Graduate School of Public Health, Seoul National University.
EESH is a concept unifying all environmental safety areas encompassing the recent hot issue, ‘green management focused on energy and environment’ to working environmental safety and health of employees. EESH is attracting public attention, as an essential factor for sustainable management.
In this “Global Environmental Safety Conference,” LG Innotek announced an enterprise-level plan for a greenhouse gas and energy consumption target management system to cover its five overseas operations including Yantai,Huizhou and Fuzhou in China, Indonesia and Poland. This new environmental safety system will take care of energy consumption and saving processes for all LG Innotek operations, on a monthly basis.
LG Innotek also announced that it will continue to discover and develop environmental safety experts to promote its capacity for environmental safety solutions.
In this conference, the company shared its vision for environmental safety, namely, “the world’s top environmental safety leader in electronic component industry.” The company has also introduced an example of its operations in Gumi, which has been committed to a power saving solution using some natural cooling/heating methods.
On the day, CEO Young-Ho, Hur said, “We will position ourselves as a global leader in environmental safety area, by upgrading the customer values, through innovative solutions, and responding proactively to the ever-changing global issues regarding the environment.”
