LG Innotek (CEO: Hur Young-Ho) will introduce many of their innovative LED lighting solutions at the " International Photonics Exhibition 2011," which is to be held at the Kim Daejung Convention Center, Seo-gu, Gwangju, from October 4-6, 2011.
Under the slogan “Light your brand” which implies “Offer brightness to customers and the world on the basis of differentiated LED solutions,” the company will put their cutting-edge LED systems ranging from the LED EPI WAFER and package products to core materials and components.
First of all, their component technologies, like the 6” EPI WAFER, which are based on a world top class large-diameter, will catch the eye of the audience. The visitors can personally see this state-of-art lighting solution, which is under mass production, for the first time in the world.
The EPI WAFER manufacturing process involves an initial critical step that determines the brightness and colors of LED. The wider the area of illumination is, the higher the technological challenge becomes.
In the outdoor product line, the most catching eye is a 15 W outdoor LED module, which can be used for various applications. Changing the front lens allows for the optimized use of the module for settings and system like parking lots, security systems, floodlighting, or streetlamps.
In particular, the 15 W outdoor LED module obtained IP67 certification with its superior dust-proof and waterproof performance. It guarantees higher reliability in a severe outdoor environment. It has also obtained the UL, a U.S. safety standard in electric systems, and the CE, a European standard regarding photobiological aspects and suitability for a lamp system.
For the indoor line, their world-renowned indoor LED modules, including ModulA and AngulA, are eye-catching.
LG Innotek’s ModulA 1D, which is an ultra-slim, 8 mm flat lighting module, uses a world top class LED backlight unit (BLU) solution. This module allows for even illumination and easy assembly and separation, and also has easy detachable and scalable system.
ModulA ID has received the world’s recognition for its functional integrity and innovation. In the United States, in May, it won the LFI Innovation Award for lighting components and hardware (for specialty, hardware, lamp holders and components) for the first time in Asia.
LG Innotek’s AngulA model is the world’s first indirect illumination regional lighting module that allows for the control of lighting angles without a change in external units. This is possible due to a reflecting plate that is mounted inside. This system won the "Red Dot Design Award 2011," which is one of the world’s top 3 design contests for lighting systems.
For the indoor line, visitors can experience the performance of an emotional and smart LED lighting solution. They can personally control the power, partial lighting, brightness, and color temperature with an application that is set up on a smart phone.
