In July and August of this year, LG Innotek reached new heights in its sales of its Coin Type oscillating motors for mobile phones, selling ten million units in each of these months.

This level of sales is more than twice as much as what the company ever expected to have achieved versus last year’s results.

This year, the global monthly sales of all mobile phones are averaging one hundred million units.

This means that one-tenth of all mobile phones in the world are being powered with a LG Innotek Coin Type oscillating motor.

Coin Type oscillating motors, as their name indicates, look like a small coin. They create the vibration in a mobile phone, for example, when a call is incoming and the alarm is turned off.

This type of motor is essential for contemporary attempts to make the mobile phone ever slimmer as it leaves no protruding parts on the overall frame of a phone.

According to a company spokesperson, “This accomplishment is the fruit of several factors.

Due to innovation, our production efficiency has increased by more than 30 percent. Our marketing is closely geared to the customer and our R&D is creating ever more customer value.”
