LG Innotek (CEO: Young-Ho Hur, www.lginnotek.com) will commence development of an HD Radio Module specially designed for American digital radio as part of a strategy to advance research in conceptually new module businesses.

LG Innotek will focus on the development of innovative digital module products based upon RF tuner development with an emphasis placed upon achieving products of universal purpose and production capacity.

To date, this company has already developed video modules that feature digital tuners coupled with an MPEG decoder (last year). These video modules are currently in production.

The HD radio module that LG Innotek developed is proud of its excellent signal reception. As well, this HD radio module takes full advantage of the digital signal’s high quality and available services, which far surpass what analog radio can offer consumers. As a bonus, HD radio can also receive digital radio broadcasts without being charged any fees, in contrast to current satellite radio systems.

LG Innotek is embarking upon a long-term strategy to record its first sales of $ 10 million in 2008.

LG Innotek has already contracted a ubiquitous-radio technology company which has a license contract permitting access to intellectual property rights regarding American standard methods to develop HD radio reception modules.
