On September 10, LG Innotek signed an academic-industrial cooperation agreement with Chonnam National University at the latter’s reception office to pursue mutual cooperation.

Under this agreement, LG Innotek will establish the “Chonnam University-LG Innotek R&D Support Center,” and offer research costs amounting to one billion won over the next five years, and scholarships amounting to 100 million won over the next two years starting this year.

Chonnam National University will conduct research and develop challenging and new technologies on core electronics components needed by LG Innotek, offer tailored curriculums, and innovate the educational system to foster experts for the company.

Also, the alliance will enable Gwangju City’s information-based home appliances and components industries to reinforce their technological capabilities and establish a system to foster experts in the information-based home appliances industry, thus stabilizing the supply of professional manpower, and consequently, contributing greatly to the development of the community.
